We are pleased to announce the Conjoint 3rd Australasian Wound and Tissue Repair Society Conference and 9th Australasian Society for Dermatology Research Conference, 2012, to be held in the magnificent harbour city of Sydney (http://awtrsasdr2012.mtci.com.au/). This conference series incorporates both basic and clinical research dealing with dermatology, tissue repair and regeneration. Understanding the way the body recognises and responds to injury, malignant cells and allergy is an exciting and ever evolving area of research. The conference provides a valuable platform for scientists and clinicians to discuss the exciting advances in this area in basic and applied research, to exchange new data, and progress the application of cutting edge materials and technologies to tissue repair.

In keeping with AWTRS’s commitment to early career researchers the highly successful Masterclass will be repeated as part of the main program on the first day. This will provide a unique forum for graduate students and early career postdocs to present their data and exchange ideas in a friendly, relaxed environment. This will be followed in the evening after the opening reception by a Young Investigators Social Evening held in the local Pontoon Bar below the conference venue.
